Mae, who is still standing over Annie's unconscious body, examines the screen that displays Annie's brain waves. Mae is enraged that she can't figure out what Annie is dreaming about, and she vows to bring it up at the Gang of 40's next meeting. People have a right to know what their neighbors are thinking and dreaming about, she thinks. She considers how Completion heralds oneness and the end of all doubt.
